Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is an Indian politician. He is presently with Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He is an MLA from Banswada constituency.[1]
Pocharam Srinivas Reddy joined TDP in 1984 from INC.[2] He worked as a minister twice in TDP government. He was with TDP for 27 years before quitting.[3]
In 1994 he conteste in Banswada Assembly Constituency and won with over 57 thousand votes majority with Telugu Desam Party ticket. In 1994 he also win from same place. In 1999 he lost against Bajireddy Govardhan of Congress Party. In 2009 he won 3rd time but resigned to Telugudesam Party and MLA post due to toe-eyes-theory of Chandrababu Naidu. In 2011 by-elections he consted with TRS ticket and won with a margin of over 49 thousand votes against Congress Party candidate Sangam Srinivasgoud.
In support of the Telangana Movement, he joined TRS party in March, 2011.[4] He also resigned from his MLA seat and TDP membership.[5]
He was made a Politburo member of TRS party on 24 March 2011.
